Over this past number of weeks the children from first to sixth classes have been learning a little bit of Spanish! We were successful in our application to the Say Yes to Languages’ project, Ireland’s strategy to foreign languages in education, organised by the Department of Education. We have been fortunate to have our teacher Isabel from Seville in Spain teaching Spanish. The children have really enjoyed the classes. Hopefully it will foster interest in learning new languages in the future.
