Deravoy National School have won the area final of the Concern Debating Competition organised and coordinated by Monaghan Education Centre on behalf of Concern. The topic for the area final was ‘Junk food should be banned in Schools’ and Deravoy was opposing the motion. The school competed against Kilcerly School in County Louth in the final. Now the team from rang a sé progresses to the All Ireland stages. They meet a team from Listellick NS in County Kerry! The topic for this debate will be ‘Tomorrow’s Children Will Inherit a Better Future’.  Ádh mór orthu!
