The children were invited by the Carrickroe Development Committee to be part of the celebrations for the opening of the new kitchen in the Community Centre and the new walkway. Rang a cúig agus rang a sé played a few tunes in the hall for the parents, grandparents and the community and the many dignitaries and politicians gathered. Two of the infants got the opportunity to cut the ribbon for the walkway with Minister Heather Humphreys. The Minister also paid a visit to the children in their classrooms. Bhí lá íontach ag gach duine. It was another momentous day for Carrickroe. Comhghairdeachas do gach duine a bhí páirteach ann.
